INTRODUCING THE CHARDS
The Chards, pronounced "Shards," came together around the music of Paul Irving. Drawing on influences from Paul’s banjo-playing father, bands like The Beatles, The Eagles, Bad Company and his diverse musical experiences - from high school bands to national tours - the band emerged with a distinctive sound that blends soul, funk, and blues.
The band's lyrics offer thoughtful and relatable reflections on life, love, and personal growth, blended with engaging rhythms to create a compelling and authentic musical experience.
Setting the stage for their unique musical journey, The Chards released their debut album Ride On in 2019, in collaboration with producer Michael Sinclair.
Now, in 2024, The Chards are excited to have unveiled their follow-up album, Destiny, produced by Sean Timms of Timms Tunes. Destiny is a showcase of The Chards’ evolving musical story and their ability to craft songs with intricate melodies and relevant lyrics.
The album is available on Spotify and other streaming services and
has also been picked up by local radio stations such as Wrokdown.
